Buttress arch


A problem really finding a way to end a stretch of wall with an arch.It was solved by using two very large rocks which counter-balanced the thrust from along the wall.Quite an unusual look especially from the road below.

New terracing in France




It has been a wonderful experience helping to restore this hillside in Fontreboule to its former glory.So much of our dry stone heritage across Europe is falling into disrepair.Many thanks to Vince, Ros, Leigh and the others who rebuilt this "little" piece of our culture
